There are some very smart children in the world but there is yet to be one to say, “Hey Mum and Dad, did you know I’m going to be sick with a fever in 3 days’ time”! That makes it very hard for you to plan to see your Doctor the day your little one gets sick.

Here at Capalaba Medical Centre your sick child can be seen on that day. No waiting 3 or 4 days to get into a Doctor… a lot of things can happen in that time.

We are also open later in the evening, Saturday, Sunday and all Public Holidays (except Good Friday and Christmas Day) giving you every chance to have your sick child seen that day.

The other bonus at the Capalaba Medical Centre is that some of the  Doctors who Practice here have a special interest in Paediatrics/Child Health. It’s important to remember that children are NOT little adults. Hence, the assessment and treatment of a sick child is a special skill and it’s a relief to know that there are Doctors competent in treating children from infancy to teens.

Remember to make sure you book a long appointment if you feel you need extra time discussing your child’s concerns with your Doctor and that way you will not feel time pressured during the consultation.
